Altay Veloso

Altay Veloso da Silva is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, writer and instrumentalist. He is the grandson of an accordionist, the son of a jongueiro capixaba with a priestess of African religion. With more than 50 years of career, the singer, guitarist and composer Altay Veloso has had songs recorded by a world of people in Brazilian popular music. Among his interpreters are Roberto Carlos, Fafá de Belém, Nana Caymmi, Elba Ramalho, Vanusa, Zizi Possi, Jorge Aragão, Alcione, Alexandre Pires, Fagner and Emílio Santiago.
