Afro-Brazilian documentation, communication and memory center
ÌROHIN - Afro-Brazilian Documentation, Communication and Memory Center is an NGO that emerged from political mobilization after the “March for the Immortality of Zumbi dos Palmares - For Citizenship and For Life”, in 1995.
Among its main achievements are training of activists in public administration courses and Federal, State and Municipal legislative monitoring of projects of interest to the black population.
ÌROHÌN works with Black Movement organizations, highlighting the discussion and training on the theme of anti-racist education and critical awareness, the defense of affirmative actions and the preservation of the memory of descendants of Africans in Brazil. Among its objectives, the creation of historical material on the history and struggle of the Black Movement and the black population in our country stands out, in order to contribute to the fight against racism, political formation and critical awareness for the valorization of the struggle memory of Afro-Brazilians.
