Dance Company Marlene Silva

The Afro dance company of ballerina and choreographer Marlene Silva performed in 1987 at Teatro João Caetano with her show Raízes Africanas. Marlene Silva presented several aspects of afro dance, enchanting the large audience, especially the great choreographer and dancer Mercedes Batista, with whom Marlene learned all her art, participating in the first Afro Ballet in Brazil, directed and choreographed by Mercedes Baptista, in Rio de Janeiro.
