Lazzo Matumbi

Lazzo Matumbi is the artistic name of Lázaro Jerônimo Ferreira. A Brazilian singer, composer and activist, he is one of the exponents of black Bahian music from the Afro block Ilê Aiyê, and considered "one of the most striking voices in Bahian music". Lazzo Matumbi in 2021 completed 40 years of musical, artistic, political and activist trajectory.
