Afro Dance

The series Dança Afro brings a set of videos with demonstrations of different types of afro dances, either at parties and events, or as a form of religiosity. This dance sends the bodies to a relationship with traditions of the African continent, either by ancestral memory or by mimetic impulse. There are a lot of "Afro-Brazilian" dances linked to rituals and parties - read, collective popular manifestations.
