EP9 - MANIFEST | As long as there is RACISM, there will be no DEMOCRACY.
MANIFEST | As long as there is RACISM, there will be no DEMOCRACY.
In our past, we formed quilombos, forged revolts, fought for freedom, built the culture and history of this country. Today, we fight for a true democracy, the exercise of power by the majority, and we call on those who are outraged by the injustices of our country. THERE IS NO DEMOCRACY WITHOUT FACING RACISM.

Black movement files Bolsonaro's impeachment request
The Black Coalition for Rights, a front that brings together more than 150 entities of the black movement, filed this Wednesday, August 12, an impeachment request against President Jair Bolsonaro. The organization points out crimes of responsibility in the violation of individual and social rights due to negligence in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, the new coronavirus. The request for impediment also highlights the insufficiency of measures that should have been implemented by Bolsonaro's team to benefit the most vulnerable populations such as blacks, the poor, domestic workers and informal workers and traditional communities such as quilombolas. This is the 56th impeachment request against the President of the Republic - and the first in the history of the Brazilian black movement. In a symbolic act, after the request was made, protesters gathered on the lawn of the Esplanada dos Ministérios, in front of the National Congress and between the Ministries of Justice and Health.
