In 1987, TV director and businessman Walter Clark visited the Cor da Pele party promoted by Dom Filó at Renascença Clube that featured a mixer of black culture, involving mainly black music such as soul, charm, samba, afro, the jongo, among other manifestations. Walter, at the invitation of Nelson Motta a friend and acquainted with the potential of Dom Filó, indicated the party at Renascença as a reference for his project for the new TV Rio, whose programming would have Dom Filó commanding Radial Filó daily on the new broadcaster in the year 1988.

Acumulou a Presidência da Suderj e a Secretaria de Esportes do Estado do Rio de Janeiro em 2002.
