CULTNE - Awurê Feira da Providencia 2921

Participation of the Awurê Group at the Providence Fair 2021. The Providence Fair throughout its 60 years has the mission of being a window to the world for its visitors, contributing to the reduction of social inequality. In 2021, a great festival of religious diversity brought together several religious segments through the Commission to Combat Religious Intolerance (CCIR) and the Center for Articulation of Marginalized Populations (CEAP) holding fraternizations, celebrations and a symbolic Walk in favor of tolerance, culminating in with the inter-religious cultural show “Cantando a gente se comprende”. Awurê exalts and rescues the importance of African influence in our culture, identity and ancestral consciousness, through music, songs, poetry, gastronomy and dance, contributing to the rescue and maintenance of black identity, affirming the role of black representation and its cultural and social protagonism.

Kleber Lucas Costa, or simply Kleber Lucas is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, music producer and multi-instrumentalist of contemporary Christian music. He was part of the band Koinonya and started his solo career in 1996. He is a music producer, Master and Doctor in History at UFRJ.
