Luedji Luna - Afro 2017 Award

Luedji Luna was one of the winners of the 4th. edition of the Afro 2017 Award in the Music category. The Afro Award, held by Cadon, sponsored by Petrobras, in partnership with the Palmares Cultural Foundation, is an action of resistance and struggle. The country's first award that recognizes Afro-Brazilian cultural projects.

Awards ceremony for Afro-Brazilian Expressions, at Teatro Rival Petrobras, which featured the show Cabaré dos Nosso Sonhos and had the artistic conception of the show by screenwriter and playwright Elísio Lopes Jr. The proposal involved the guests in a mysterious, magical and playful, in which five characters from a cabaret enchanted the audience with compositions by authors such as Chico Buarque, Gilberto Gil, Wilson Simonal and Tony Tornado.

2017 Afro Award - Our Dreams Cabaré Show

Cultne recorded with images, interviews and editing by Neide Diniz, Alexandre Dias, Mario Elena and Filó Filho the award ceremony for the Afro-Brazilian Expressions Award, at Teatro Rival Petrobras, featured the show Cabaré dos Nosso Sonhos and had the artistic conception from the show by screenwriter and playwright Elísio Lopes Jr, who innovated by bringing lightness and breaking the common protocol in awards. Afro Award - Face Negra Face Project

The Face Negra Face project is carried out by AFAIA, a non-profit and non-partisan civil society institution, created in 1987, due to the need to organize black men and women, members of Ilê Iyá Omi Asé Ofá Karé, since then it has been developing debates , seminars, meetings, forums and projects aimed at social inclusion of the black and afro-religious population of the Amazon, in various areas: cultural, socioeconomic, health, development of actions to combat racism, sexism, homophobia and to improve living conditions of the black population, among others, valuing Candomblé not only as a religion, but also as a resistance and influence of the social and cultural process in Brazil, as shown by Brazilian historicity, in our case, but specifically in the Amazon.

Afro Award - Project in Dance between Rios e Sol

Cia. Andanças de Dança Teatro do Tocantins presents the contemporary Afro dance show Em Dança entre Rios e Sol. With the artistic and choreographic direction of the dancer interpreter and actress Lúcia Rocha, the show Em Dança Entre Rios e Sol took shape from the research of training in dance theater techniques in the interpretive proposal of body dramaturgy in popular culture.

Afro Award - AfroLatinas Project

The Afro Latinas project consisted of setting up an audiovisual exhibition consisting of one hundred photographs and twenty video testimonials by black women, from the collection of Festival Latinidades – the largest festival of black women in Latin America. The photos and videos were captured between 2008 and 2014 and feature women from all Brazilian states, as well as England, the United States, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guadeloupe, Nigeria and Mozambique.

Afro Award - Abô Project

The ABÔ project created by the Grial Group was awarded the Afro Award, which took place on January 26, 2015, in Rio de Janeiro. The project was created in 1997 by writer Ariano Suassuna and dancer Maria Paula Costa Rêgo, in the desire to create a contemporary dance based on our ancestry.
