Macau - Colored eyes
In the beginning of the 80's, appears, in the music scene, "Olhos Colored"; a song that, among so many protest songs of the time, stood out for its romantic and strong form that denounced racial repression and discrimination. Its author, Macau, played his song in such a peculiar and striking way that he seemed to sing African drums that wept, calling the country to reflection. Today, after almost 40 years, Macau sees his music being sung throughout Brazil and in several countries. "Colorful Eyes", increasingly younger, took on a life of its own passing from generation to generation. With its swing black, it is more than a song, it is a musical style, it is a black cry, a complaint, it is contestation, it is love, it is the anthem of black Brazilian music.
