The performance parade was inspired by the Yorubá mythology, where the meeting of the river with the sea, gives life to the seven Iemanjás that represent the surface of the salty waters and elements of the sea like the foam of the waves that break on the beach. For this production, Aline Valentim was invited to choreograph the parade and the performer and daughter of Iemanjá, Juliana Sansana, will represent the meeting of fresh and salty waters. From this union the other six Iemanjás are born.
The creations to be paraded are models of contemporary and timeless fashion, which imbued with history and symbolism portray a dynamic culture, which feeds on its roots and beautifies everyday life. The accessories will be sustainable and ecological, produced from the reuse of fabrics from previous collections of the brand Balaco and from magazine papers, pamphlets and natural paper, in partnership with the brand Jr Design Sustentável by Julieta Sandoval.
