Cinema Nosso is a social organization, whose institutional mission is "to expand the cultural universe and contribute to the development of the critical sense of children, adolescents and young people from the popular classes through audiovisual language." On November 30, 2011, CULTNE registered the homage to the Black Ladies of the national dramaturgy performed by the Cultural Department of the Renascença Clube for the actresses actresses Ruth de Souza, Léa Garcia, Chica Xavier and Zezé Motta. On the occasion, we interviewed Sandra Almada, author of the book Damas negras - Sucesso, lutas, discrimination (Mauad, 1995), a work on the trajectory of actresses who approach the work of recognition and affirmative position of black women in the media. The book discusses issues related to racism in the artistic and academic fields, the difficulty of finding characters who were not already classified by the author as black and the fact that they are usually called to serve roles. The author is a journalist, university professor, writer and researcher. Master in Communication and Culture from the School of Communication of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (ECO / UFRJ), he teaches in undergraduate and graduate courses. She is one of the presenters / reporters of the Mirror program, directed and presented by actor Lázaro Ramos, on Canal Brasil, where she also subscribes to the journalistic research. She also collaborates, as a freelance reporter, with several publications. She is also the author published by Selo Negro Edições in 2009, the book Abdias do Nascimento.
