DJ MARCELINHO MG

With images and final edition of Don Filó, the Cultne Collection registered on November 12, 2011, World Hip Hop Day at CELUB - Center for Urban Culture in Coelho Neto- RJ the ZULUB party, promoted by Zulu Nation Rio de Janeiro and LUB - Urban Basketball League. On the occasion, Marcelo Guedes, Marcelinho MG spoke to Cultne about his work in front of Fúria Hip Hop and about the institution Universal Zulu Nation. Carioca, born and raised in the suburb of Rio, started to take an interest in music from an early age, at the "Black" dances in the region. He started at the controls of "Toca discos" at balls and parties of friends. He always identified himself with black music (soul, reagge, funk, R & B, rap, etc.). after a lot of struggle and many hours of sound, he got his own equipment for parties, and thus using it as an income supplement for the end of his college. During that time, he played in several hiphop events and also participated in groups such as "Criminal Pense" and other groups that appeared and made the underground scene in Rio de Janeiro, in the 90's. He created and still performs the Baile de Hip Hop that has the longest time so far in Rio, "FURIA HIPHOP" and became the 1st hip hop team in Rio de Janeiro, since 1996 has been playing the releases and strands of Black Music in the cradle of hiphop in the state, LAPA. He did a project for 4 years at the carnival where he mixes with the samba de roots playing a lot "CHARME" and "HIPHOP (mixcloud). In Rio de Janeiro, the Rio de Janeiro affiliation "Zulu Nation - Rio de Janeiro", in partnership with the "Liga Urbana de Basquete - LUB" - entity that promotes streetball and other aspects of Urban Culture among the poor youth of the communities - - held the "ZuLUB" party, in celebration of International Hip-Hop Day and Universal Zulu Nation. With the "CELUB - Centro de Cultura Urbana" as a democratic space, ZuLUB was an event that aggregated the fundamental elements of Hip-Hop, accessible not only to members of Culture, but to all young people who, in some way, identify themselves and or are influenced by it. Another great novelty was the "Graffiti Task Force" organized by graffiti artists "Shun" and "Kai" who developed the internal decoration of CELUB. And following the afternoon of celebrations, the crews rolled on the track in charge of "DJ Marcelinho MG" (Fúria Hip-Hop) giving an extra shine to the event. November 12th will be the date when young people around the world will celebrate two very important moments in the history of generations driven by Urban Culture ... These are the birthdays of the "Universal Zulu Nation" and the "Hip-Hop Cultural Movement". .. Founded on November 12, 1973 by "DJ Afrika Bambaataa", former leader of "Black Spades" (considered one of the most feared street gangs in the Bronx neighborhood), Zulu Nation has become the main reference for young talent and former members of street gangs who wished to give their lives a positive turn. One year after the birth of UZN, on November 12, 1974, Bambaataa, together with DJs Kool Herc and Grand Master Flash, decides to legitimize the actions practiced in the entity creating a Cultural Movement that became known as Hip-Hop. For the organization of the Movement, fundamental principles of Peace, Love, Union and Fun (with responsibility) were implemented and disseminated among its members and other hip-hoppers from around the world, in order to promote the true spirit of Hip-Hop and teachings on diverse knowledge such as Disease Prevention, Mathematics, Science, Economics, among other values ??that have served in the past to change the thoughts of gangs and today continue to serve to raise the awareness of thousands of young people across the planet. According to Bambaataa, Zulu Nation supports "Knowledge", Wisdom, Understanding, Freedom, Justice, Equality, Peace, Union, Love, Fun, Work, Faith and the wonders of God. In Brazil, with its national headquarters in Diadema and under the coordination of the Chief Minister "King Nino Brown", Zulu Nation Brasil annually organizes the Hip-Hop week supported by the City Hall, developing activities by means of cultural elements aiming at valuing the self-esteem of local youth.
