The publication, sold mainly in a major release, later circulated from hand to hand, being distributed to a few bookstores, but obtained a significant return from those who had access to it. Since then, and uninterruptedly, other volumes have been released - one per year - alternating poems and tales of different styles. Distribution has improved, seeking to reach a wider and more diversified audience than that reached by the first volumes. Writers from various states in Brazil have been publishing in Cadernos Negros.

Black Literature - Cristiane Sobral

The writer and actress Cristiane Sobral spoke to Cultne about her work in black literature. For her, real life is not enough for her. Literature and theater do not exist simply to show what the world is like. The writer and actress Cristiane Sobral was born in 1974 and moved to Brasília in 1990, where eight years later she would become the first black woman to complete the Theater Interpretation course at the University of Brasília (UnB).
