Obará Nucleus: Presentation

Núcleo Obará emerged in May 2019 from the need for a project of listening and care aimed at the black population and militants of Uneafro Brasil. From there, this space for the development of the body, mind and soul was thought based on the National Policy on Integrative and Complementary Health Practices using therapeutic resources that seek to prevent diseases and restore health, with an emphasis on welcoming listening, in the development of the therapeutic bond and in the integration of the human being with the environment and society. At the Nucleus, therapies such as reiki, dowsing, and Ayurvedic and tarot massage are offered, in addition to psychotherapy.

With the worsening of inequalities brought about by COVID-19, Uneafro Brasil mobilizes support chains in the territories in which it operates. We have a fundraising campaign for the purchase of food and hygiene and cleaning products; We provide information and care through the Popular Health Agents project and internet packages for low-income students to study. TV UNEAFRO- 1st International Meeting of the Black Coalition for Rights

In November 2019, representatives of more than 100 organizations of the black movement from 20 Brazilian states met in São Paulo to continue the actions of the Black Coalition for Rights, an articulation of national and international political incidence that emerged at the beginning of the year, with the objective of facing racism and defending the rights of the Brazilian black population. The dialogue was also attended by group leaders from Colombia, South Africa, Ecuador, the United Kingdom, Togo and the United States, who were present with a delegation of 14 members of Black Lives Matter.
