Festival do Rio 2015 - Dr Mukwege, The Man Who Mends Women

For two weeks, Rio de Janeiro was the official capital of cinema. The Festival do Rio featured around 250 films from over 60 countries, screened in 20 locations across the city. The Festival opened its 17th edition at the Luiz Severiano Ribeiro Cultural Center – Odeon with the screening of the long-awaited Chico – Brazilian Artist, by Miguel Faria Jr.

Integrity of the Diagnosis on Diversity and Gender and Race in the Audiovisual Market

Cultne made the report available as a video for your convenience. Presented by the National Cinema Agency - ANCINE, the survey, entitled “Gender and race diversity in Brazilian launches in 2016”, continues the analysis of data on female participation that the Market Analysis Superintendence has been producing since 2014. It is the first study that presents cutouts of color and race to be carried out by ANCINE. The publication promises to be annual and the 2017 balance sheet will be released in June this year at the Cinema and Audiovisual Observatory (OCA).
